Sounds cliche but I have always wanted to have a HM abroad ! lol!
Anyways, now that we were in US, it was hard to find a destination that would be "international" hence it took us 8 months to decided where to go :-P.
My dearest friend Sindhuja was talking about the Caribbean Cruises. So we planned for a 7 day cruise and 2 day Miami+ Fort Lauder-dale.
One of the unique experiences we have had. Might have preferred to do it with a more couple friendly cruise and probably for 3-4 days at a later time in our lives, but hey it was still unique and memorable! :-)
Itinerary
Day 0 - Red-eye from SFO to Miami
Day 1 - Miami beaches, Miami tour and night life
Day 2 - Drive to Key west and boarding our Cruise
Day 3 - Bahamas (Nature walk and beach time), Cruise
Day 4 - Cayman Islands (Snorkeling and interaction with sting rays), Cruise
Day 5 - In Sea, Cruise
Day 6 - Jamaica (Climbing the Dunns River), Cruise
Day 7 - In sea, Cruise
Day 8 - Key-west (Parasailing, downtown)- Florida, Cruise
Day 9 - off boarding from Cruise and Miami to SFO
Cruise -
Unlimited food 24X7 (Can ask for separate vegan/veg options)
Formal dinners! Ah the best experience though we didn't enjoy the food
Pools, Spa and other sports and outdoor activities
An entertainment evening every night - Dance performances, magic shows, live music concert, stand up comedy
Family friendly events all day long - cooking classes, playing BINGO in bathsuit, painting classes, dance lessons, yoga, casinos
Staff & Crew - Amazing professionals with great customer service and willingness to help you all the time
Cruise (Holland America) - The biggest, most amazing self equipped with everything sand alone human made mechanical structure I have ever experienced!! just WOW!!!
May we the only thing we had to do was plan to board the cruise on time and know what we want to do, the rest was all executed by the Cruise company and all we had to do was show up! would recommend for a semi-hectic , mixed variety and experience vacationing!
Miami+ Fort Lauder-dale
