Ending 2015 - South Lake Tahoe

Abhi & I had a great travel year in 2015! Much was achieved and much more was added to the list! :-)

We are ending our 2015 travel with South Lake Tahoe. Quick 2 days vacation with Ski, food and snow followed with a lot of effort to drive in snow roads, learning to use snow chains and living amidst a snow storm!

Could not do much photography due to weather and ski activities but here are a few !

For us vacation goes hand in hand with great food. Over the years we have learnt to cook and explore new restaurants locally to make this a truly foodie experience.

Christmas dinner - Beans Soup, Maggi and chocolate wafers  :-)

Sit down dinner - Base Camp Pizza in South Lake Tahoe - Heaters, music and awesome hot food & "drink"

Breakfast - Avocado, Tomato & Onion buttered Sandwich and gourmet coffee

On our way to Tahoe

View from our Condo

Gandola Ride - 2.7 mile upstream to Ski area

South Lake Tahoe Park - Closed for the season but open at your own risk ;-)

On our way back home :-)

Abhi & I decided to do a short and economical vacation and that's how we decided to do Death Valley National Park! Since DV as such isn't too much of an attraction (According to us!) we did some research and converted this into a "Road Trip" style vacation. Here's the map and the pictures with more information!

Day 1 - Traveled from Sunnyvale to Ridgecrest. Rested in Ridgecrest for the night.

Day 2 - Entered Death Valley and covered few vista points and stayed at Beatty for the night.

Fall Foillage - Claistoga The Wine Country! (10/24)

Though not fully satisfied or justified with the fall color abundance and variety, Abhi & I did have a great time in the Sterling Vineyards! A one day event for someone driving from the South Bay!

Some of our clicks!
