Thanksgiving - 2014

We decided to side track from our usual outings during long weekends and do something different :-). So we hit the road to South Cal. We drove from Sunnyvale to Irvine, had a fantastic time with Cousins and the cutie baby Jaineel! Did our own Thanksgiving dinner :-), met a few friends - Pavan, Bhavani & Reema and OH!! we visited the San Diego Zoo and Saw Pandas ( Red & the usual) . It was an enjoyable trip in its own way and we are so glad we did this! Made a lot more promises to visit all of them again :-) and headed back to Sunnyvale.

Fall Foliage & US :-)

So some time mid last week an Idea hit me!!! Doing a candid photo shoot with fall colors as background!!! The thought was running in my head for sometime now but it would be difficult since fall foliage in South Bay, California is hard to find and capture!!!

One fine morning last week as I was sipping coffee and gazing out off my windows I saw a few trees with beautiful foliage and that tricked me into doing some research on the places where we can see fall colors in the South Bay. Quickly my husband and I decided on a place ( 15 min drive from home to go visit on Saturday, 11/22/2014.) The whole plan made me buy some camera accessories such as - Tripod, Remote Control, Lens Cap Holder, UV Filter and Polarized Filter ( costed me around $100 and 2 hours and was on my list since a very very long time) We ended up going to the Hakone Estate & Gardens and click some memorable photos for about 2 hours! Hope the photos do justices to the different fall colors we have tried to capture :-)

Would definitely want to do Napa Valley, CA next time since it is at a derivable distance and closer to home!

Cycle and US

With a great amount of enthusiasm, determination and excitement we got our 1st basic cycle in the US. Much has been accomplished and much more to do with it. Cycling around Stanford Unv was a great experience and a nostalgic one of me since it reminded me of LSU campus and the 2 years of history that goes along with it!

We have done other bike trails around bay area averaging around 15-20 miles. We usually carry water, cash, small snacks and the right equipment to ensure we have a through experience when we cycle !
